I just wanted to know, because I'm not sure whether I believe in psychics or not. Oh, and please tell your opinion on this:

I seem to get a lot of dejavus, and sometimes I when I dream there is a scene, and it happens in the future. I also can sense whether my loved ones are "close" to me or not. Is this considered abilities?

Thanks for answering.

Yes, you are displaying a natural talent. Its simply a factor of evolution. Animals evolve. Humans are animals, which some people seem to forget. The human brain is evolving. This skill has run in my family for many, many generations, so I have a genetic predisposition.

I've been reading tarot for about 30 years (since I was a little girl). It's given me an outlet. I've had some remarkable things happen during readings. I told a lady she was pregnant - she was not only clinically infertile from cancer, she was TWO DAYS pregnant. Her daughter is about 9 now. I don't know how I do it (I get asked constantly), I wish I could explain it to people. I do scare people sometimes (I scare myself sometimes). I read at a party and a guy asked for a reading as a joke. Halfway through he got up and freaked out on me screaming, "How do you know this stuff about me?" I don't know. I just do. Its almost like stream of conciousness when I read. I will say things and not even realize I'm saying them, but they're right. I only read at charity events and the like now because its mentally exhausting for me.

The best way to "train" yourself is to meditate. I do it frequently. Find a quiet place, no distractions. Close your eyes and breathe deeply (yoga breath is best - in and out through the nose). Try to focus on your thoughts. Concentrate on listening with your mind. It helps achieve some control.

The first thing you should learn is how to shield yourself. I found other people's emotional states really affected me. Close your eyes and concentrate on building a wall all around you, brick by brick. Pull down a lid over the top (like the old Bugs Bunny cartoons). Nothing can get through it. Practice that until it becomes second nature. It will also help you gain some control.

Its a gift from God, treat it as such. Try to use it to help people. Listen to your senses.

okay...I can connect to this in some ways. I know when certain people are around me also. Also the thing about the dreams this is something else i can relate to. I don't believe that sensing a loved one is "close" to be psychic because every one eventually has the capability of doing so. On the other hand, the dreams can be considered psychic. I'm wiccan so this has to do with a lot of which i am about. We believe that your dreams tap into your psychic half (not every one is able to tap into this). This being true we see things that may happan in the future.
I hope that I helped and if you have any further questions feel free to write me back.

I believe in psychics, I'm pretty spiritual. I am almost positive that those psychics that are like yeah, i can see into the future like anytime you want and can tell what your thinking is fake. I think esp is something you need to work on and i think it also has to do with how in tune you r with Ur spiritual side.

I also get the deja vue stuff ALOT. I also get the future told in my dreams but that's reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaally rare and the more common thing i get is that I will randomly think of a word or scenario and then it ends up happening or coming up during my day. So i wouldn't consider myself a psychic but i would say I'm in tune with my spiritual side.

This may be what is called "selective thinking".

Selective thinking is the process whereby one selects out favorable evidence for remembrance and focus, while ignoring unfavorable evidence for a belief. This kind of thinking is the basis for most beliefs in the psychic powers of so-called mind readers and mediums. It is also the basis for many, if not most, occult and pseudoscientific beliefs.

Wanting to be a "psychic" is sort of like wanting to be "president" of the united states. nobody in their right mind would WANT it.

If someone wants to be psychic, my first impression is that I'm dealing with someone who is extremely exhibitionist, and a voyeur.

If you're serious about it, maybe you become a rock star instead, or some other thing that gives you the attention and approval you desperately seek.

i kinda go through the same thing but i don really beleive in phsycics. i think our minds are just capable of predicting events in our heads. we probably just have somethin extra in our minds.
