Couldn't you pre-order it and give your mum the receipt? it's a bit odd I know but I ordered my parents something for Christmas a few years back that couldn't be delivered so I gave them a picture of the item and told them why.

You can still get her the Book you want to give her, since Mother's Day is until may 13th. You do not say why you want to buy it after April, maybe because you do not live with your Mother, and will not be able to buy before then. If you want to know what to buy her instead, I would suggest some jewelery, or sending her a Bouquet of Flowers, Candy,or If it was me I would Love to have a picture, of my son, as he would look like today. I hope that you will be able to decide what to give her for her Day. Good Luck to you.

What does she like?
How's about a nice meal out with a friend of hers?
Or a pair of cinema ticket vouchers?

give your mom somehting tht u would treasure, like a nice scrapbook with u and her in it. or maybe treat her to an daughter/son and mom shopping spree an thn dinner. or maybe go to a nice fak flower boquet place and make a great boquet for her. lastly, you could get her tht brand new something she always wanted.
