You should confront your friend. Tell him/her you overheard the conversation and ask why they feel that you would steal, etc. Ask what you've done to make them feel unsafe. Don't be aggressive, don't be defensive. Go to your friend with a sincere heart and just ask. If he/she tries to deny it or play it off, that means they don't feel comfortable talking to you about it. If they can't talk to you about it, the friendship is pretty much over. You guys should be able to get anything off your chest without fear, especially since you live together. If you can't talk and put your feelings in the open, then you may as well move out. An issue like this split up me and my bestfriend/roommate. Now we only talk 2x a year. Get it out in the open before it consumes your relationship.

If moving is an option.... as you are packing your stuff up.. you confront this person.. as to why they didn't have the stones to say something to you to your face.
They should feel free to stay and observe you packing to be sure that nothing goes missing!!!
It's a pity they didn't have as much trust in your friendship as you did.

Ask that person if they have had any particular problems or difficulties with you living in the house!! Try yto get the truth out of them, just as if you overheard that person!! If they are extremely insecure then you might consider moving out for the best !!

I would definitely confront them. There are obviously some issues going on. You need to discuss this with them soon.

Oh i would confront them and then i would be looking for another place to stay because you don't need that kind of drama. Because it may not stop just because you've confronted them.

PACK YOUR THINGS UP AND THEN CONFRONT THEM ABOUT WHAT YOU OVERHEARD AND TELL THEM THEY WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT BECAUSE YOU ARE MOVING OUT.
YOU DO NOT NEED THESE PEOPLE AROUND.YOU NEED TO SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE YOUR TRUE FRIENDS. NOT PEOPLE WHO THINK IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO BE SO RUDE AND MEAN. YOU WILL BE OKAY. JUST KEEP YOUR HEAD UP HIGH. YOU ARE THE BETTER PERSON.

are you sure it was about you? if so, you need to talk to them about it and if it can't be handled...you should move. if they don't think they can trust you ...you can't trust them because you don't know what they will do....they might kick you out at the last minute or somehting..
