The advent of Islam, the period just before Prophet Mohammad (SAS) received prophethood at the age of 40 years till a few years after his death at the age of 63.

So we can say a period of 30 years has influenced & changed mankind more dramatically than any other period in history.

1066 - the Norman Conquest of England - changed the history of western Europe -- the US and the entire western world would have been different had the Saxons won.

The Roman victory over Carthage in the second punic war -- had the Carthaginians sacked Rome, as they almost did, the entire course of world history would have been different - there would not have been a Roman Empire.

The Battle of Thermopylae - had the Spartans not beaten back the Persians.... again .... the entire course of world history would have been altered.

And -- let's see -- the battle of Tours -when charles martel beat back the invading Muslims.... had he not done that, the Muslims may well have conquered Europe and smashed Christendom forever.
