Although Two had some great scenes, One was better, but that is the problem of being the middle film of a trilogy

One was the best by far.
Two was a rush job and it was combined too much with the filming of the third movie hence you can tell too much in the acting. The actors said they were often confused about what movie they were filming at one time skipping between 2 and 3 in the same day.
The length of the 3rd one was much to be disired also and it relied too heavily on FX to carry the load. Pirates should not be a trilogy connecting all the characters of the original. It would have been way more entertaining to see Jack Sparrow continue his adventures without the two "friends" he made, perhaps even a real sea battle would have been nice to see also.
It just got boring to see Jack and the same two counter parts fight against another supernatural group of pirates. This was the same story as the first almost to a tee. The movies are way too PG and bring nothing about the truth of the genre to the story. So far we see no one really die in these films and the violence is sugar coated with curses and charms. We get only hind stories of battle wounds to even show us these guys lived a life at sea.
In all I wish and hope that some other film company will steal the franchise give Tim Burton the chair and let it go.

2. Johny Depp is an idiot. Who cares if he can act - anyone can act. Acting is nothing more than professional lying. Picasso said it best: "We all know that art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize truth".

Although both were great, I like the first better. I really didnt like the ending on the second one.

Both were good, the 1st had parts that were better than the 2nd, the 2nd makeup was kindof cheezie...but I hear the third is gonna be a doozie!

I think of it as one continuous story, therefore I can not pick which one is better and I look forward to seeing the end of the story also.

1 was hysterical, 2 was a horrible disappointment. it had funny moments but no cohesive theme or plot, it was merely a string of vignettes. i hope they do better with three.
