I think it is great as a nickname..but try to imagine your son as an adult..perhaps in the business world, etc. and people referring to him as Sunny?

Cute for a small baby and early toddler, however, he won't stay little. Have you considered how this name would affect him at work, and how other men would make fun of his girlie name? Nobody with a name like Sunny could make it in the business world, so think of his future. If you do give him this girlie name, be sure and provide him with training in self defence classes, as he will need it. Best wishes

I have a friend called Sunny. Actually , one of my seniors was also named sunny in highschool.

Hmm. Perhaps you could name the guy Sonny, or Santonio or ( or was it Santiano?)something as in Godfather?

If you are spelling it "Sunny", then it sounds like a girl's name.

It's a good name. I like it. But is this a pet name, or a formal name? Eitherways, bothways, it is good :). Short, modern, easily pronounceable and understood by diverse people, and positive :). Go for it.

bold and beautiful. but the boy would need great self-confidence when he explains that his name is spelled s-u-n-n-y, and not s-o-n-n-y. i used to have a crush on a boy named s-u-n-n-y, so it's not unheard of, i think.
