I have heard of this phenomena a lot of times before. But I never found scientific proof for it. So is it possible to lick a frog or a toad and get high? If so, how? Not that I'm going to do it or anything :) I need the answer for my physiology class.
Cheers.

I really don't know, but I would watch out if I were you...you might be licking a female frog and if she gets horny may jump your bones!

Toads, and not just any toad. The parotid glands behind the eyes secrete poisons that can get one "high." Not recommended.

...and kissing a frog won't turn it into a prince or princess.
I'd bet that licking an arrow poison frog would lead to paralysis and death.

As much "Family Guy" as you have watched, no. It is not possible to get high from licking a frog or a toad. "Doing Toad" isn't a realistic alternative to smoking weed. Unless of course, the toad has some cocaine on it.

There are many different toads, some are very poisonous. Some are deadly. The right toad, and the right amount of its poison can give you a high, a little bit more, and it's good bye.

In North America, no. This is because the frogs here don't have the secretory defense mechanisms frogs in the rainforest, for example, do. For one frog that does have such excretions, check out the poison arrow frog...

Yes, but only certain types and in certain amounts. Since it is technically a poison, too much could do some serious damage. You would be far more likely to find a really poisonous toad and kill yourself.

Yes, but only if that breed of toad has the associated chemicals in their sweat/skin.

The chemicals in question are called bufotoxins.
