The only answer is the destruction of our entire being, down to our very core of existence. It is virtually impossible for humans to maintain equilibrium of peace, prosperity and selflessness between each other. The bible preaches those core values above all else, yet the bible has been the cause of more bloodshed then any other object or source since the beginning of our species. We fight to the death over the minor details on politics and so one would have to ask “how could something so benevolent turn into something so evil?” It is our nature of course, our greed, our jealousy and our close-mindedness that sparks the burning fire of violence, destruction and finally assimilation into the conformity of one society under one absolute power, pitted against another absoulte power be it one individual or a party of individuals and it is through this greed in our nature that we can never obtain true freedom. Even if we had “true freedom” it would be fleeting.

I was thinking more along the line of realeasing a un-curable virus. Kind of like the radicals in the 12 monkeys.

Genocide is usually a decision made by some at the expense of others, so the only acceptable response would be suicide: individual choice in 'very' exceptional circumstances. However, surely a better response would be to fight to make the world a better place, instead of wringing your hands in despair.

Also, all species are essentially selfish, and will do there utmost to survive and prosper. Our intelligence has led to our dominant position and, ultimately, it is our intelligence that can save us-by understanding the damage we are now doing.

The biggest irony is that we are the only species that cares about the long term future of the planet, while at the same time destroying it.

Well I can certainly agree that man has done his best to destroy himself over the millenia but our utter obliteration will help improve things? I come from the stand and fight school of thought that says we all have the power to improve or not improve our conditions as we see fit.Having personally never caused bloodshed or fought to the death over ploitical or religious views I am having a hard time carrying that weight on my shoulders.I have a better Idea, why don't we do something to improve our world and abandon the Hobbesian view that we are all self centered, violent brutes. For those of you who truly beleive that man needs to go you can go ahead and do your personal part to make that so.

I wish you would elaborate more on your question, but if I understand you correctly then no, genocide is not the answer to anything. What is our terrible crime as a species? I can think of nothing. You must remember not everyone is Christian and that most people in the world do not share your values.

Hey dunce, where do you get your information? Try reading "The Black Book of Communism". Communism has killed over 100 million people, not the Bible. Tell me how religous these people were - Lennin, Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, and Hitler. You're very mislead and naive. Wake up.

We are just another breed of animal and as such are a part of nature. Why must people act as if we are so important when in fact we are no different in the grand scheme of things than are our cows.
