This is a question for serious body language experts. This is a new habit my boyfriend has acquired and it concerns me. It doesn't happen when we are talking or laughing together, only when he is quiet and thinking.

Sounds like a sigh. Sighs can occur out of boredom or frustration.
Or.
Has he always had a mustache. If the mustache is new and he's never had one before, it could be that he is just not use to the feeling of have hair on his upper lip. In that case you're making yourself upset for not reason.

Sounds like a version of a sigh -- maybe out of some sort of frustration, anger, or boredom. Its nothing to worry about.

Yea its nothing to worry about, I do it to let out tension so I'm sure he's either not aware of it or its just a sigh and he's thinking about a problem he may have.

maybe he just does that and doesnt realise he is. try to get him to shave or to trim his moustache and c if he drops that habit.

ide like to know myself because i once had a girlfriend that would blow her bangs by blowing upward it was cute though and she was a fox that was almost 30yrs ago
