Dehumidifiers work well but are expensive to buy and operate. The water absorbing granules cannot soak up the amount of moisture in the volume of a caravan.

An easy and relatively inexpensive way to keep it dry is to put a 50 - 100W lightbulb in there on an extension cord and leave it on. With the doors and windows closed it will build up enough heat to counteract condensation, (the main reason for dampness.)

Obviously if you have water leaks, that's another story. Do a thorough inspection and seal anything that looks like it might be leaking with a silicone caulking gun...

The most basic one is salt poured in the area of the dampness, it absorbs water very well. Check all seals, it's likely to be coming in through a vent or window, so you may want to re-seal anything like this near the damp area.

Buy or hire a dehumidifier, and try to find where the water is getting in. Try check the gutters above windows, if there is a leak, use marine silicon to seal it. Try this site http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/datasheets/ they have some good info.

Get a dehumidifier in there, and those granuales that everyone's mentioning. Go to your local storage place, like Public Storage, and ask in there. They typically offer them for you to use in their storage bins/garages.
