case: a man gives money to support her daughter voluntarily to mother, she has applied for section 8 for herself, does this affect the man? will the DA initiate a case for child support? or does section 8 have nothing to do with the DA? anybody knows? thanks

"If she is cool like my friend, she pulls the papers "after she scams the system? Thats real nice to know littlemama. Sheesh.

I don't think section 8 has anything to do with child support. If she is already on public assistance there would already be a child support case.

Section 8 has nothing to do with child support. Child support and section 8 are dealt with by two different case workers.
Now depending on how much child support the women is receiving from the dad will determine how much rent she will have to pay or the amount of the voucher.

Section 8 and child support are two similar things. Child support covers the needs of the child (or children). Section 8 covers the needs of the mother or father and child (or children).

the only way it would have anything to do with section 8 is the amount of the support since the rent is based on your income but other then that i cant see how the two would be tied together

I would think yes. Since section 8 is a government assistance plan.

Section 8 has to do with low income housing.....child support is not claimed as income unless you want it to be. Has nothing to do with each other.

I have a friend who lives with her boyfriend who is the father of her child. When ever she applies for any public assistance the first thing they ask for is the court order for child support, and the father LIVES with the child. So most likely, yea you better be expecting a court date for child support.
If she's cool like my friend after she gets whatever assistance she pulls the papers out before they actually go to court.
