Well, if I went to one of the adult schools where they offer it and got my GED would it be any different from one of the many places online? Are any of them scams?

Which one online would be the best? Thanks :)

Check with your local/state school board to see what their policy is--and make sure the online school is accredited to issue GEDs. But generally, this is a recognized option.

Personally, I'd recommend you do at least some of the Work in a regular classroom program--but for the GED, online is okay as long as you make sure the diploma will be alid (what I talked about above). However, if you plan to go beyond that--technical/vocational school or college--plan on doing that at a regular, rather than online school. Many such schools will let you take some classes online--which is fine. But not exclusively--strictly online schools for higher education are frankly not very good investments.

5 years from now the end result will be the same, but having face to face interaction with a instructor and fellow students may be helpful. Guess it depends on how long you've been away from school and how much "support" you think may be helpful.
