Hey ladies, I think I am pregnant and I am worried about not only gaining weight, but also looking good during the whole 9 months...
What kind of exercises should I do? How can I stay cute, keep my skin glowing even if I am pregnant?

Walk. It is the best/low impact thing for you. I walked on my tred mill during the night, and would call up my best friend and walk with her during the day. You should also watch what you eat, for the urge will be to eat EVERYTHING.

I was very athletic before I got pregnant, so the doctor told me to keep doing what I had been doing, and my body would tell me when to stop. I played competitive volleyball until I was 8 1/2 months pregnant, and that helped me a lot.

As for the skin, just remember to moisturize your skin, and watch for the harsh cleansers on your face. Your skin will glow even more when you are pregnant, so glowing will not be an issue. As for clothing, there is a lot out there. Target has a lot of cute maternity clothing (if you are one of those thin pregnant people, or comfortable wearing tight clothing while pregnant). I loved the Old Navy maternity clothing because it was trendy, functional, and not form fitting. I didn't wear those clothes when I wasn't pregnant, and I didn't plan on wearing them during. But there are a lot of clothing choices out there now days.

Good luck!!

pregnancy will bring a whole new meaning to cute, trust me you will adore yourself lol. You know how when your not pregnant you have to try to find the thing that "fits just right" lol well now when your pregnant, you have that beautifully shaped round tummy that everyone loves to touch, anything you wear will show that baby growing and people like that. Its very cute. I have people come up to me all the time and tell me what a cute belly i have lol. Its perfectly round. Theres nothing wrong with enjoying being pregnant :) Its the time when you can eat, wear and pretty much do whatever you want to do of course in the end you will pay for the eating whatever you want LOL. Your skin will glow im 25 weeks and ive never had such smooth clear skin. Its amazing. And to make it even better just make sure you wash your face each morning, i use this stuff made my aveno, Its exfoiliating wash. Its great stuff i love it and it keeps my skin really clean. Goodluck and congrats on being pregnant (if you are) and try to enjoy it!!!!!!!!

Some of this is definitely going to be your genes, and some of it will be just your general body type. Trust me though - I was really worried when I first found out i was pregnant, about everything from stretch marks to gaining weight to... I don't even know what. You'll see that this will change as you get further in your pregnancy. I know - I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself, but you really become LESS worried about how you look and much more worried about whether you're doing things "right" for the baby's sake. It doesn't mean you'll let yourself go, it just means that you won't care nearly as much about how you look as you think you will right now. That having been said, I have been running still, 2 - 3 miles/day with doctor's approval, and I lift weights at the gym 3 times/week. I am actually in better shape physically than I was before I got pregnant and that is pretty much all I care about right now. I don't always feel great or look great, but I feel more in control about it since I know I've been doing everything I can to keep myself healthy. Mentally I feel great though, and that's worth a ton to me right now! In spite of whatever you're worried about now, you'll enjoy it, you'll see! (the hormones help!)

Umm...well, I'm 23 weeks (1 week shy of 6 months) and my belly DEFINITELY looks preggo. I wear nice clothes, that are actually stylish. I make sure my jewerly coordinates with my clothing. I wear make-up, do my hair and I eat good, so I've only gained baby weight...about 7 pounds so far. I feel like I look great. In fact, I think I look better pregnant then I do when not pregnant. Just take care of yourself like you normally would, don't pig out on food just because you're craving it, (easier said than done, however I'm diabetic Type 1 and I'm not really allowed to eat bad food...maybe that's why I've not gained any of my own weight with this pregnancy) HOWEVER...don't let that stop you. Eat fruits, veggies, fiber and protein. Drink tons of water! Take daily walks. AND most of all, remember to look at the beautiful things in life and take the scowl off of your brow. Smile at people and be friendly. Your life will overall be better when you have a positive outlook. All these things will aid in the way you look and feel and project a beautiful woman!

Pregnancy is one of those things that varies from woman to woman, but for most, it makes a woman look even more beautiful and radiant than she was before. As far as the weight gain, that is completely out of your control from here on out. You're going to gain weight. I was 100 lbs even and have never been any larger than that my entire life, and i have already gained 30 lbs. It doesn't look bad, though. Try to get some kind of exercise, even if it is just a brisk walk at a park or something. Drink lots of water and plenty of juices and milk. And try to eat right. Just because you're pregnant, doesn't give you an automatic excuse to go crazy on junk food...do everything in moderation. And as far as staying cute...you will more than likely be able to get away with wearing your regular clothes for the first few months or so...but after your stomach grows and your waistline disappears...look for stylish maternity clothes...Old Navy and Motherhood Maternity are good places to go. And with the skin thing...your maternal glow will come naturally, but the hormones may make you prone to breakouts and acne...just use a simple soap to wash your face twice daily and stay away from scented moisturizers and perfumed lotions...go light on the makeup and most of all....remember that you are carrying a new life inside of you...and that is a beautiful thing in itself. Good luck and congrats!

Yes, pregnancy is a body wrecker i think! I feel like i am in a battle and losing my identity because of the so many body changes that have happened. I am now 35 weeks pregnant.

With my first pregnancy, i kind of let go and just enjoyed it. When she was born although i felt blessed, i also wished i had looked after my body more as weight loss took me 2 years and thats with heavy exercise! Now in this pregnancy i have been cautious from day one really. I have been eating loads of fruit, drinking more water and applying cream to combat stretch marks every day. I deep condition my hair more a less every day to prevent dryness and have regular hair appojntments. My skin is really suffering through the hormone changes so i have been cleansing twice a day and moisturising after keeping make up to a minimum. Food wise, although tempting and through the many sugar pangs, i have tried to stop eating when full and eating only when hungry. Eat what you want, but dont overdo it i say.

I feel the main difference in pregnancy wellbeing is to keep active and take multivitamins and drink lots of water. Treat yourself to manicures and pedicures and be a princess. You deserve it.

Whatever the pregnancy throws at you, like water infections or yeast infections or tiredness amongst many other niggles, just stay positive.

Pregnancy books and pregnancy diary books from women who have been there is great too cause you know you arent on your own!

Also make sure you have people there who support you and make you feel good about yourself. Cause people who dont really can drag you down and you dont need that. You have your little baby to think about and love. Happy mummy = happy baby!

I hope you enjoy your pregnancy, when you hold your little baby at the end, it makes it really worthwhile! x

Most people get a glow when they're pregnant. I have it. I actually think I look best while pregnant. Don't worry about the extra weight. Eat healthy and drink tons of water. Right now, it isn't about what you look like, its about the health of your baby. Consult your doc for exercises appropriate for you and your pregnancy. There are tons of cute maternity clothes these days as well. Best of luck to you.

you can be as active as you're now!! My sister used to run through out her whole pregnancy and the doctor only told her she could do it if she had been doing it before. Some are afraid of falling and stuff like that but I guess its all up to you and what your ob gyn recommends. Everyone is different!! As Far as eating........ eat for one, not for two, probably a little extra calories if u are at an average weight, and 2000 calories is the most if you are over weight. Thats what the doc told me during my pregnancy!! Your OB GYN is the best person who can tell u and knows how ur pregnancy is going and could give u the best advice.

I used Proactiv during my whole pregnancy. Spray tans are safe to get and you wont get overheated sitting in the sun trying to tan.

Clotheswise...Dress in comfortable clothes. Not sloppy. If you're comfortable you will feel so much better. I loved maternity clothes for the most part. I got jeans from the Gap that were great(they actually have longs) and cute shirts/capris/dresses from Old Navy, Gap, Motherhood and Target. Luckily flats are in....once your feet start swelling and its hot dont try to be a hero and wear heels! For myself getting all the new clothes was a fabulous high and I got compliments the whole time!

Dont start to dress drastically different now that you're pregnant! You probably wont feel like yourself and that will show to others.

Good Luck!

Go walking everyday. Also you can do light weight training, just be sure not to do any lunges (increase your risk of injury to connective tissue in the pelvic area)
or any moves that involve you lying on your back (abdomen vulnerable to a falling weight). As far as gaining weight, you need to gain a little weight for the baby, but it is up to you what food choices you make. Just try to eat healthy. After you have the baby, try breast feeding and your weight will come off really fast. Hope this helps :-)
