If you are looking for like your dad is there a way to run your dna against like a nation criminal dna. See from what I hear he did time so that is my only option to get a clue who he is because my mom don't know who he is.... what should or can I do?????

I would start with your birth certificate which should have his name, possibly some basic info. If he is not on it, talk to your mother about basic information. I would think you would need a court order to get a DNA search and unless he served lately, he wouldn't be in the database. If you can get the info, try one of the website that can search for a person by social security numbers, etc. But also make sure this is what you want to do.

You can contact the Social Security Admin. They know where everyone is. Now, they wont give you info on him, but they can tell you if he is dead. Then if you wish to contact him, you can actually write him a letter, put it in an envelope, then put that envelope in another envelope addressed to the SSA, and they can forward it to him! Pretty cool. My husband did that after not seeing his father for over 25 years! Now he's a huge part of our lives. :)

She maybe lying to you about knowing who he is for some reason or she needs to provide you a list of men she was having sex with during your time of conception.
