I have been on vitamin b complex for a month, and started amultivitamin 3 days ago. I have been getting rapid heartbeat and severe restless feelings. I have been tested for almost everything else it could be and I really think it is a deficiency. The first few days I took the vit b complex my symptoms totally dissapeared, but came back. Will it take awhile fo rthe symptoms to disappear? Help please.

.rapid heart beat can mean allergy. Also a calcium/magnesium deficiency might be a problem. When you take B vitamins you must take cal/mag.Restlessness sounds like calcium might help.Try a supplement 1000mg cal/500mag.

How do you know your deficient in vitamins? I salute your willingness to take responsibility for your health. Find a book called Nutrition Almanac. Analize your diet for a week and see if your low in any vitamins, minerals, fats, protein. If you keep accurate records of what you ingest, the results will tell you right away if your low in something. Diet may not be the only contributing factor in restlessness. Stress can cause rapid heart beat, sleeplessness, fatigue.
Taking the supplement may have given you a boost. Try taking a little more than you did at first. You might need more to get over the hump.

A vitamin deficiency will last a life time unless your body replenishes it with the proper nutrients you find in food or as you said (and I'm glad to hear) taking vitamins.
Make sure your vitamins are exceptional quality otherwise you may not be getting what your body needs. Deficiency ends up leading to greater diseases.
Here's a short article that may help explain.

Yes, it will take a while. It took months to develop the effects of the deficiency and it will take a while for the body to back out of all of the damage.

All vitamins are not created equally. You need a whole food vitamin that your body recognizes as food. Most vitamins sold are synthetic and your body will flush them as waste.Go to www.dna911.info and check out a natural whole food supplement called Nutra-Maxxxx.The ingredients are synergistically combined to provide an extremely potent vitamin, mineral, super antioxidant formulation that your body will recognize and use.
