Maybe they feel that they need to answer to be a apart of the process, and since they are not that well uneducated and do not know the answers, they just say stupid things. Some people are just ignorant to begin with and do not know the old adage "if you cannot say something nice, don't say anything at all". Sometimes, however, and I must admit this, the questions are so very stupid that I've been very tempted to be a wise *** and say something I shouldn't. I have to stop and think that maybe these people really do not have a clue. They asked a question that most people would figure is common knowledge to anyone who went to school or has a head on their shoulders. Some of these people are just - DUH!!!! Or, they just want the 2 points.

While it may be hurtful to the poster of the question I don't think that people leave these messages to make you feel better, but rather at times just trying to earn the points in order to get to the next level.
I know I have been guilty of not leaving answers that were actually thought out if I am at a crossing point in earning a new level just in order to get points to get over the hurdle.

Its the dark spirited people hon, they are loose canons and actually get pleasure from causing good people pain..they are severely pathetic and weak minded..so the internet is a perfect place for them to bout their darkness and meanness because they are hidden behind a screen..I bet not one would have the balls to say some stuff they type on here in real life. Don't let them get to you, you are higher than them.

Some of the questions are so non sense-able that we can't believe the people are actually serious. You need to re-read your question before you post it. Sometimes a question is so boneheaded that it sounds like a joke. No one is actually trying to hurt your feelings but you have to realize that "joe public" has no idea what you're feeling or cares even less.

That is because all they want is Points on this Yahoo Answers Page. So even if they write 1 word, or 100 words answering a question, they still will get 2 points. There you see!!!

They leave sad, stupid and sarcastic comments because they are sad, stupid and sarcastic people. This is an anonymous forum, and that's what they are here for. And for the most part, they probably DON'T have anything better to do.
Don't worry about them, they don't really deserve your time and attention.

Sadly, there will never be a great explanation as to why some people are so pathetic. I truly think the sarcasm has something to do with intelligence....for those that lack it...they have a need to make themselves feel important....so here comes the sarcasm. Although, they don't see it, they only worsen their situation. Poor, poor, morons.

Sometimes the questions are so stupid that no other response is appropriate. Any such proposing a conspiracy plot with respect to 9/11 automatically qualifies.

Some are bored, some are probably joking. (they think its funny perhaps)
Maybe they think the asker isn't serious.
Maybe they are trying to be funny to cheer the person up.
Maybe they just don't care about anything. (but I hope not many fall in this category)

well if its a dirty question then im sorry its yoiur fualt for posting it but if it was a normal question and someone is just posting a mean comment then its cus they find it funny to hurt others but dont worry as long as its not sexual or racist i think you wont get to many bad comments
