In other words, who is your favorite person who ran for president and lost? (Some possible examples might be Bob Dole or Al Gore. Both ran and both didn't win.)

He didn't lose, but RFK would have been great. The other choice, would have liked to have seen what Perot could have done.

If Dole had been against Dukakis he would have won. However Gore was up against a consumate liar and cheater so, although he won he didn't. His brother's home state whose Secretary of State had been his opponents campaign manager and a stacked Supreme Court all contributed to Gore's loss. Dole simply had a more popular opponent. Had Dole run against someone else, as I mentioned, he might have gotten my vote and might have won.

I'd have to say Bush Sr. vs. Clinton. Yes I know he succeeded Reagan, but I would've liked to see him in the office for a second term.

Bob Dole, no doubt. I would've liked to have seen Howard Dean in there. Can you imagine?? He'd scream the vows he would have to recite at the inauguration. AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
