If you want to... I do not have the least respect, he destroyed my country and made the Germans look like raging barbarians, which still is the modern world picture of Germans in wide parts of the world...
But I am glad for India's Independence, you really deserve it! Great country, even greater people!!!!!

England along with it's allies took over defeated Hitler and it's allies. So England wasn't too weak. India got it's independence 2 years after the world war ended with the drop of those atom bombs.
Besides, he was not the one responsible for independence of the nation. Our freedom fighters were. Had these patriots not contributed, we would still have been under the British rule.
And FYI, Hitler was a murderer. He had a passion for power. he wanted to rule the world. If he would have succeeded, Indians would have met the same fate as Jews.
I've read your earlier q's too. I really don't understand why the hell are you favoring a real life villain and trying to put up his image. If people start praising him, you will find few more Hitlers coming up and claiming that they are actually heroes.
So accept the fact, and take back your arguments.
All the best...
:-)

He was a strategic tool of punishment in destiny. That's all I really view the guy as. Who could've made Germany truly great if he wasn't trigger happy.
All he had to do was flex a little muscle and all his
' undesirables ' would've left.
About here, somebody would say, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Doesn't apply here. He didn't hold absolute power. I'm a half a century old.
The war had been over eight years when I was born. Governments like to beat their breasts about how great and righteous they are.
So from that day to this, you have to figure I've seen a lot of footage from that war. You form an objective picture after a while. I'm not convinced.
Particularly when you haven't allowed yourself to become aligned with the filthy workings of world governments observing from street level. I'd say government today is far more evil and pernicious than anything Hitler did.
At least, he did everything out in the open. These corrupt animals do things quietly, and have access to a vast resource of keeping it that way.
In India, the ' Untouchables ' probably won't say that, and they have a lot of problems over there. If anything, there's a higher power if you really feel all that grateful. Hitler? Just a vessel for use. Nothing more.

Hitler had nothing to do with Indian independence. England, Germany, and the rest of the world was in the slow recovery from the Great Depression, which contributed to some degree to everything.
Hitler made the decision to use a military solution to solve an economic crisis. Indirectly, he solved that crisis in the nations against which he went to war as well. That may be his only contribution to global society.

A 100 cheers for Hitler!
If that crazy man hadn't begun the 2nd World War, even a 1000 Gandhis or Bhagat Singhs could have never brought Independence.
Great Question! Gave you a star.

he did not start the second world war for the purpose of
freeing india, but for the purpose of destroying the britishers.
he killed many innocent people. i know he also played a vital
role in india's independence but for germany's needs to be
fulfilled not for india's, he was only selfish person. when s.c.bose arrived to germany to meet hitler , hitler made him
wait for so long as he was a superior. he didn't gave respect
to s.c.bose then why should we give to him

let me tell u we also know that ravana was very intelligent as well a great devotee of lord Shiva, but still we don't respect him.in the same way Hitler has no contribution in our independence,b'coz even if he had not started the world war 2,than also India has made the Britain realised of it's mass urge for independence ,b'coz of which it has already started thinking about giving independence to it.

To even remotely suggest that Hitler had contributed to India's independence (directly or indirectly) is a grave insult to Gandhi, Nehru and other great Indian statesmen.
Your words ---
"Hitler happened to be a good reason for Indian
Independence, shouldn't we respect him indirectly?"
My words ---
If your interpretation of history tells you do that, go right ahead.
Count me out.

Hitler did nothing for the sake of India and being the worshippers of truth & fairsome we can not thank him. But it can be atleast accepted that if it not happened india could be in british empire for some more years as british would me more powerful if not got weakened in world war.
but india got independence olly due to our national leaders fough for freedom and british empire felt that they could no more live here.

Not quite, the British would have left India on a reasonable time table even if WWII had never been fought. History can not accept giving The Thrd Reich any credit for Britains withdrawl from India.
