This website offers work from home. They also have a links page with more info and other programs. You can also add your own links. http://www.webspawner.com/users/enterdataathome/index.html

Some free and some have a small fee.

The best site I have found is cash crate. Never ever do anything that asks for money upfront! Cash crate is a place where you get paid to do surveys/questionnaires or you can sign up for free offers. It can be a little repetitive filling out offers, but you can make anywhere from $40 - .40 per survey or offer you do. You get paid once a month as long as you earn over $10 a month. On average I make $12 an hour. You can sign up here if interested. http://www.*************/index.php?ref=1...
This is the most honest site I have found. It tells you up front exactly what is required for each survey or offer. Some offers may require a credit card to sign up, but it tells you ahead of time so you don't waste your time filling out stuff. Unlike sites like panda research they wait until you fill everything out and then say oh you need a credit card. Now only a few require credit cards. I personally prefer to do the surveys, they are quick and the money adds up fast. They also have monthly contests where you can win more money! No I don't guarantee you can quit your job, but it will bring in a few hundred a month if you do one hour a day! Referral program where you can earn 10-20%. Also, they have a list of online stores you can shop at and earn cash back, from 5-100% back. Even WAL-MART.com is on their list!

AT&T, and Disney are a couple of companies that have high numbers of home office workers. You did not put any information down about your job skills.

Here are a few jobs that I either have done, am doing, or know someone that does them:

Distributor (what I do): I accept phone calls from clients (mine are Costco and Walgreens) and track down missing shipments of stuff. It is very easy, you use the UPS website. It pays about 60k a year.

Estimator: A relative caliculates how much home insolation is needed to insulate houses. The company is in CA, he lives in OR. Close to 100k a year, and he only works a few hours a week.

Transcriber: a friend types up medical exam records. I have no idea what she makes, but she spends at least 40k a year traveling, owns a great house by herself (never married) and seems to be have plenty of money.

Employeers find homne workers the same as everyone else. You just need to start sending your resume out. be sure to include that you are looking for home office work in your cover letter.

What worked for me - the ONLY thing that worked for me after getting scammed with online 'business' opportunities is this:
Guru.com
This is a market place where individuals or companies post work they want to outsource.
You set up a free BASIC acct. on http://www.guru.com and then start submitting bids on the posted projects. Examples of the work are: writing, translations, software development, photography, data entry, and much more.
One an employer accepts your bid, they put the money in escrow, and after you complete the work, you get paid.
I get paid by direct deposit, and I've averaged $10-$30 per hour, depending on the project.
It is 'part time', of course, and you're self employed as independent contractor. They'll send you a 1099 for your taxes at end of year.
I don't get paid for referrals, so this is an honest sharing of what I've found.

Their are some real one's out there that don't involve filling out surverys or offers, but the catch is the serious ones are jobs that are from regular companys that pay their employees to do the work at home or independent contracting like telephone sales, filling out dr's forms etc... There may be some on the net, but they are few and far between. best of luck.

Not that I know of. Most of the time that if you are working from your home, you do have to pay money up front. That is why the staffing agencies are filled with people who are having trouble finding work. So, be a contractor and good luck.

I think your best bet for working at home will be medical transcriptionist. You have to take a course to learn how to do it, but as far as I can tell, it's the most lucrative job you can do from home.

I've tried quite a few of the work at home things. I assembled products (impossible to assemble to their satisfaction, and too time consuming to make $), selling medical discount cards (cold calling, monthly fees) stuffing envelopes, taking surveys, selling health products.
Most of these work at home jobs and multi-level marketing deals are a scam.

It's a job like any other, you get out what you put in. However few people have the determination to make it big, so they just make other people rich by signing up.

That said, you can also do data entry at home, they send you data like contest entries with adresses and you input in into the comp.
