Since Shewag is already selected for worldcup 2007, he looks good at number 15. I understand that he had an outstanding record in the tour to pakistan but his recent performance is worse than some of the indian bowlers. Would you let Gavaskar play for current Indian team just because he was a great batsman in past ? Though it seems a better selection if Gavaskar is chosen over Shewag.

He should open.He can fire anybodys bowling attack which makes a flying start and makes opposite helpless.In his 167 ODI's average was 32 at strike rate of 96 is not an easy task.The best way to regain his form is only by playing the matches for India.

Quite in doubt. Even though he has Dravid's support, if he doesnt contribute in the first stage of the world cup, his place could easily be given to Robin Utthapa
