I think I have different tunes for different emotions:
Happy - Independently Happy by Blue October
Sad - Never is a Promise by Fiona Apple
Beaten down - Dream On by Aerosmith
At the end of a long day - Long Day by Matchbox 20 (ironically)
Mad - Turn the page preferably the Metalica version
Romantic - Angels by Robin Thicke
But I guess for just a regular any old day mood - Let it Be by the Beatles or Lenny by Stevie Ray Vaughn

Before I Forget - Slipknot
It's partly the way the music is so graciously metal and a combination of the lyrics "I am a worm before I am a man".
It's a thing about becoming stronger and earning your place in life and being a "creature before you can stand".
It's kind of ironic for me as well, because I have an extremely bad memory, and it's titled Before I Forget!
