I don't want to sound old-fashioned in an age where having sex is looked at as being the great thing to do, but a 14 year old is not mentally prepared for what sex brings into their life. Even though the body is already through puberty the brain has a long way to go and handling the aftermath of sex at such a young age can be really traumatic. What really scares me is the fact that no protection is being used annd in this day and time that should be enough to scare annyone into thinking twice. With all the STD's out there someone is playing Russian Roulette with their life.

Yes. Going by your other post, it seems you're not even "officially" the girlfriend of the person you're having sex with. Casual sex isn't a great thing, especially for a young girl.
It is irresponsible to not use protection. You could end up with a multitude of STDs, let alone pregnant! Are you ready to handle that yet? No, you're not. At 14, what grade are you in? 9th? 10th? Stick to your volleyball. You'll have plenty of time to be an adult, but so little time as a child. Best of luck to you.

Are you ready to support a child, give one up for adoption, or have an abortion? Would you be ready to face parents and tell them you are pregnant. If you can't answer yes to this, then yes it's bad. You also are risking your life by not using protection. You can get many scary diseases that are not curable by having unprotected sex. Have you ever heard of the human papiloma virus. It is spread by sex and causes 70% of cervical cancers. This could be a side effect that you face years from now. Sex is a very grown-up activity for someone so young. Are you ready for the consequences, they can happen to you and most likely will. A lot of teenagers feel that the bad things can't happen to them, but they can and will if you are not smart and careful about what you choose to do. The effects can be life changing. you have your whole life ahead of you to be a grown-up. Be a child while you can.

Yes, it is too young, and you probably know that already, otherwise you wouldn't ask it ?
And the same about the protection. The best protection at 14 is not having sex at all. If you're not ready to deal with the consequences or be wise enough to prevent pregnancy or ST D's don't have sex.

Well to put it to you straight yes it is for so many different reasons. The top three being:
1. Pregnancy (Your body is ready emotionally or physically for this daunting task).
2. STD's (No other explanation really needed, but I'll add this if you want to have a child later in life this can destroy that dream) Expecailly PID, which is just one of the few that can make you unfertile.
3. Your just not ready. This is a major responsibility that only adults should be undertaking and whether you agree or not your a child, and you deserve to live your childhood without having to raise a child, or have a shortened life span because of HIV or any other horrible thing that can happen because you decided to be an adult way way to soon.
4. I said three but this one needs to be said, your giving away something very precious that your going to wish you would have saved for the person you really fall in love with not the person you lusted after.

Yes sex at 14 is bad!! Are you crazy? Sex at any age without protection is bad, unless you are married. Do you know what is out there? It is a dangerous time for unprotected sex.

Yes that counts as being bad.
I dont get it I frist had sex when I was 17. And I knew that that was bad but I was smart enough to use protection.
What is with so many girls having sex at younger and younger ages and not thinking anything of it???

Well....if you want to be a 14 year old mother, then no. But ABSOLUTELY it's bad! If you are going to have sex at such a young age, at LEAST use protection. But even then, you have a chance of getting pregnant.

YES YES YES.
You are just a child! Enjoy your childhood, you have plenty of time for relationships, happy, safe, relationships with people that you love and that love you. You are way too young to be having unprotected sex, respect yourself, your body, and think about what it would be like if you got pregnant at such a young tender age, how will you care for a baby!!! Be responsible and wait until you are older and more mature!

Wow!.....You are just a child yourself. You are to young to be having sex, especialy unprotected sex. So, I am assuming you think you might be pregnant, well, even though you are very young, I think you should have the baby and either give it up for adoption or let your parents take full custody of the baby until your are old enough to take full responsibility for the child.
