the last time i got my period was december 25, christmas. i'm not pregnant because i'm still a virgin. since i'm young i know that some periods can be irregular...but not 2 1/2 months?!

please suggest things that could be wrong,
don't say "tell your mom" because i already
have...

i'm 15, started my period in the summer of 7th grade...i dont have an eating disorder, i dont workout a lot. i do remember that...my mom said my sister used to be irregular and also...my mom didn't have her period until she was 16. maybe it's genes?!

Yes you can skip your period for 2 1/2 months when you are young and nothing is wrong. You may not have another one for several months and this is fine. If it really bothers you then see your doc just to ease your mind but it is most likely nothing.

Depending on how young you are, this can be really normal! I am a mother of three girls and two of my girls have skipped for two or three months at a time. Young girls periods don't usually regulate (from my knowledge) until after you are around 18. I am not a doctor but I know quite a few teenage girls that have done this. And I know for a fact (100%) that my girls are still virgins.

This happened to a friend of mine. She went to the doctor and the doctor said that she had an hormonal imbalance. So her body wasn't producing enough of certain hormones. She got a treatment (pretty much taking the pill) to balance her out and got some studies done to check there wasn't anything wrong.
I think you should go get checked up to be on the safe side.

dont worry, i'm 18 and the same thing happens to me all the time, the longest stretch was 4 months i think. u can go see a doctor, but im sure its nothing serious (i never went and i dont have problems). good luck!
