datz why enimem is coming back
nas's new album is so refreshing

nowadayz they make a couple of songs and they want to open a clothing line or something and puts hip hop to the side so they can earn more money and in turn disrespect hip hop in it self.

hip hop is in hospital and sooner than later it will either recover or slowly die.

If you look at it from a mainstream radio, MTV kinda way, yeah it's dead. If you look at it in an underground kinda way...the sh*t that doesn't get so crazy popular then no it's not dead. There is a lot of good hip-hop out there right now, you just have to dig a little deeper for it.

HELL NO!! Hip Hop is not dead unless you bury it in your heart. Hip Hop is what you make it. You mean to tell me just because these young rappers come out with their own version of streetlife in the new millenium does not mean Hip Hop is dead. As long as there are old heads out there that new the true meaning...it will never die!

We can only hope...obviously we didn't do an efficient enough job of killing disco the first time, since that's basically what hip-hop is. NEXT time around it needs to die a gory, violent, bloody death.

no it's just not like it was in the '80's when it was all about lyrics. now it's about who has the catchiest hook or the best dance. hip hop is alive just in a different manifestation.

Yes, Virginia, hip hop is dead. Hip hop became too suburanized and died a nasty death.

I completely agree with Nas. It's no longer based on talent. There's no passion behind. And I agree with the one person who said Puffy killed it. I think it all started after Biggie died and commercial rap became hot!
