Could the abrasions be buffed out? They are on the bottom/ rear side on the part that is kind of hard plastic (not exactly metal).
I wasn't sure if you could actually buff out streaks on that material.

Take your finger and rub it along the damaged areas. The general rule is if it feels the same as the rest of the paint, then it can be buffed out.

If you notice a difference when you change from the undamaged paint to the damaged paint, then it can't be buffed out.

From what it sounds like, this stuff probably can't be buffed out entirely.

I recommend Nu Finish scratch remover. I used it on my bike when it was vandalized, worked like a charm on the fiber-glass. Should work the same on plastic. The hard way would be to sand it down, and spray bomb it, with a clear coat finish. Paint is easy to match and it will look better then new, if, of coarse, you have the week required for prep and dry time. Kinda makes you wish people would just pay more attention when driving. Sorry for your car.

Probably not. Take it to an auto body shop for an estimate to be sure.

You could try, but if you can see the hard plastic color, like black then no. It will have to be repainted.
