An old soul has lived many lives, bringing the experience, wisdom and lessons learned from those past lives into this present existence. That is why people of the same chronological age in this lifetime seem to have different levels of emotional maturity and wisdom.
Grannie panties might be worn by an old soul because this soul realizes that the external material trappings or appearance mean nothing. It is the spiritual growth inside and the memories held from all our lives that mean everything.

I can't give a smart answer to this one so bare with me. It is someone who is wise beyond their years. sometimes they just know things they haven't learned or been taught. They are normally wise , kind, gentle, and have an air about them that makes you feel humble to be with them. They give sage advice and are calm in the face of danger, they don't sweat the small stuff,they know what is important and achieve it.
