I usually work 50 to 60 hours a week for the last 12 years. last week I worked 35 hours. They are telling me they are taking time from my vacation pay. I dont get sick or personal time and i dont get an hourly wage. I live in Florida. Maybe they should pay me something for the 10 or 20 hours a week i work over 40 hours. thanks.

They cannot do this, and I think it's time for you to move on and find another job. Your employer obviously doesn't think much of his employees.

You need to read through your Company Policy to see if they can do this. It should be fully outlined. If there is then a question about it take it to management. Just because you are 100% commission does not mean that a 40 hour week does not have to be put in. I completely understand that issue because I too am commissioned.

If you work on straight commission, what's the $ figure they'll use to equate the # of hours +/- ? If you don't have sick time or personal time, do you have specified amount of vacation time?
