I used to hear people taking her so seriously. And now, after an obvious nationwide thinking shift, she seems to be sounding ridiculous. She has a #1 bestseller, which I wonder if people were buying as collectors items, for comedic purposes. What do you guys think, is she an obscure comic, or do people really take her seriously. I know Glenn Beck loves her, and Fox news.

Taking the houses was indicative of a major shift. What else can it be? I think people were confused about what republicans were about. They care for the rich. That is over I believe. Democrats will be the dominant party from now on.

My mother and I were just talking about her recent comment about saying the word "Fag" and having to go to Rehab. You are exactly right she's grasping at straws. Some of her views and statements years ago were shocking, she almost sounded intelligent. She's trying to make a comeback and she's toast. A lot of extreme conservatives love her, but again. EXTREME. I agree with the first post, she's giving conservatives a bad name!

She is definitely at the lunatic fringe of conservativism, but it's too early to tell whether she's on her way out. Lots of people thought it was the death-knell to Rush Limbaugh when his TV show was canceled, but he's still steamin' right along. P.S.: What is this obvious nationwide thinking shift to which you refer? If you're talking about the fact that the Democrats took the majority in the House and Senate, that is a short-lived shift. They've already lost a ton of credibility due to their flip-flop on the Iraqi war, and recent foibles with Algore and Pelosi haven't helped either.

Ann Coulter can only benefit from all the publicity. She is smart and will adjust her style and act to stay firmly in the game. Most of us conservatives love her to pieces, and will keep her books on the top of the bestseller lists if only to drive the left wing nuts to apoplexy. Bless her for continuing to expose the silliness and illogic of the left wing agendas and actions.

She speaks her mind ,,,, whats wrong with that

So she called someone a ****** - WHO CARES

The world needs to get over the thought process concerning what is or isn't POLITICALLY CORRECT

Its time that we quit caving to the minorities and start paying more attention to the majorities

If we had people like ANN COULTER in office that would say what they think versus say what they think you want to hear maybe meaningful change could exist

Politicians are so afraid to speak now for fear of HURTING anyones feelings that the result is THEY SAY NOTHING AT ALL, for fear of losing the next election.

After previewing my response, I see that YAHOO makes me politically correct by covering the word FAG*OT
Which by the way in the dictionary is slang for cigarette

The only people that actually listen to her are NOT conservatives. They are wannabe conservatives, lacking the education and intellect to to actually be a conservative. They are hate mongering people who in almost all cases actually hate themselves, and berating others makes them feel "big".

She has shot her mouth off so much that no normal thinking person can take her seriously.

She makes conservatives look bad.
