Is the movie really as life changing as people are making it sound? It sounds to me like a lot of tips of how to live your life that you should already know from listening to your parents. Should I spend dinero on it?

No, it's basically a fraud. The idea is that if you imagine something hard enough, it will come true. For example, if you want a new car but can't afford one, you simply imagine yourself having the money and somehow it will come to you. Yeah, right.

"The Secret" also states that people have negative things happen in their life because that is what their minds have focused on. In other words, victims of the Rwandan genocide brought it on themselves through negative thinking. I find this "blame the victim" theory incredibly offensive.

The rest of "The Secret" is age old "forward thinking" packaged in a slick new way.

Please don't fall for this nonsense.

The Secret is just a manual about how to get anything through the "power" of positive thinking. If you choose to spend you dinero on it, buy it on Amazon or Ebay and get it for less.

It's definitely worth the money. And it really is life changing. However, if you don't want to spend that much, you can buy books about the law of attraction and still get the same information. But the movie is more inspiring and powerful. Believe me, I don't know of one person who has watched "The Secret" and been disappointed. Go for it!

The secret is nothing more than positive thinking. Its how you said, you should already know how to live.

Its a scam urging people to use their own self confidence and project it as a positive rather than any negativity. Its something we should all be doing anyway but alas Oprah and friends have never lived the life we live.

Oprah is trying to preach something to you that is associated with her life because she has so many people protecting her. For the average person, we have bills and criminals to deal with. Oprah only has her own sexuality to deal with which makes her life kind of boring.

No - it's a rip off. First of all there is no "secret" to life. You just have to live your own life - with and without mistakes along the way.

The only book that will guide you to true happiness is The Bible. Invest in a nice one at your local Christian book store.
