I' m going to buy a truck, a Chevrolet Silverado (Year 2000), it' s 8 cylinder, but I' m not sure because I' m scare to spend a lot money in gas. A 8 cylinder spend a lot more of gas than a 6 cylinder or the difference is not so big????

See if you can find a web site that shows you how much miles per gallon that truck will get. I think you will be surprised to see what it is. And gas will be going up soon, due to summer demand.

Are you going to be pulling or hauling anything? If you're not going to be taking on heavy loads, I think a 6-clinder would be better for you.

Also, keep in mind that diesel is much cleaner than it ever was before, and usually makes for better mileage and reliability. Diesels last much longer than gas engines typically, and now, you can even use Biodiesel. You can make it for as little as $0.70 / gallon, so maybe that's another option.

Don't let people talk you into something though...it's your money, buy what you want.

My husband has an 8 cylinder car, he is always using my 6 cylinder van because his car burns almost twice as much gas as my van. If you don't plan to haul big heavy items get a smaller truck.Thats what I told my husband also.

It'll probably get between 16 to 20 MPG depending on how you drive.

CNN reported, this morning, that gas could be up to $4.00 a gallon by mid summer. you may want to think about a bicycle and a wagon.
