Don't worry about it, if it was that serious or they had any evidence of you committing an offence they would be banging on your door.(or going through it) I haven't heard them ringing up & accusing anyone before, I'm not sure they're allowd to.. I'm pretty sure they were just asking a few questions to clear things up. If you havn't done anything then ring them back up & say your not happy being accused, why have I been accusefd? & get an apoligy. You have nothing to be worried about if you didn't do anything wrong, I don't know why your scared?? chin up! ; )

I don't understand how the police would phone you up to accuse you of something if they didn't have proof but I would have thought they would have to appear in person? It all seems strange but I would go down to the station and sort this all out. They cannot accuse you of anything without having the proof and as you say you aren't guilty then what do you have to lose?

Be lucky that they phoned you first. I've had a few of those in my life time, its just an accusation or a lead they have to follow up on. If they really thought you did something they would have been at your front door and you wouldn't be writing this. They were just trying to provoke you into doing something stupid like copping to the accusation. Don't worry about it.

don't worry about it mate, i got a call from the police last week saying am i the owner of my car and read my number plate out and asked me some questions what i look like etc and said that there is a guy driving around in the same car as mine and the same number plate as mine assaulting women,
lucky for me they have a description of him and its over 200 miles away, so not only as my car been copied it also a sex case driving around in it. the police said to me that's the end of it now, i hope this makes you feel a bit better.

So, if they bring you in for questioning, remember you have the right to remain silent, and you have the right to have an attorney with you during questioning......so use that right, it's for your advantage. You are innocent until PROVEN guilty. If they question you, stop them right there and call for an attorney...they have to stop and get you an attorney. Don't let them bully you around......they'll try to scare you into confessing.....even if you didn't do anything. This is why you need your attorney. Also, if you cannot afford an attorney, then the court will give you an attorney at no cost to you. This is also your right. Best of luck to you.

Ok, facts are....
Don't worry, do not volunteer any info you don't have to give. Make them have to work for anything they get. Occasionally, feel free to elaborate when you sense you will need to, to get them off your back.
Have no fear, polygraph tests do not work, do not prove anything, but they may at times attempt to make you so afraid you volunteer info.
Hold your ground, & you should be fine. Be careful to not conflict your tales, & try to make sure that you only tell lies if you have to, so if you are asked later, you can remember, & have the confidence that you will excel.
A fudge here or there is ok, but make sure it is totally believable, & is something that either commonly happens, or is totally plausible to happen.
Key is, have no fear, talk like an honest man, & believe in your innocence. More than likely, you will be released.

Your telling the wrong people. They cannot say you have done anything. They can say someone has told them or we believe .
What you say next can make or break the deal. So listern to what they have to say. Tell the truth and the truth will set you free

well all i can say is for the police to have your number you must be well known to them in which case they will probably blame you even if you havent done it.
