I accidentally left my computer on overnight with a heater running. In the morning, I shut it down, and then it would not turn on again. I managed to log in a couple of times, but it froze within a few minutes.

Now when I try to boot up, the computer's BIOS system has one long beep followed by two short ones. It runs Phoenix BIOS version 6.0. I tried to look up the codes, but they all had 3 sequences, and this one seems to have only two.

I have not messed with anything inside the computer, but this problem managed to start itself. The inside of the computer smelled like it had overheated, but turning off the heat and giving it time to cool did not solve the problem.

If anyone has any ideas or can help me, I will greatly appreciate it.

I think its best to get a hardware person check the internals.Do not restart the machine as the Damage done cannot be estimated. Though there is nothing in this small machine that can cause harm but short circuits and other problems can aggreivate your actual problems. Most probably some obscure or minor part of the mother board must have overheated leading to a break in the circuitry. But this can be only checked by a hard breed electo.
