Do not take any detox, the vitamin levels are too high for the baby. She needs to just clean up, it should be out of her system in about 30 days. I passed a UA after 15 days of quiting. Drink lots and lots of water and stay away from the pot :)

There really is nothing safe. The only safe thing would be to quit altogether. It really isn't good for the baby, even if they see nothing wrong so far in the pregnancy. I know people who have smoked crack, etc, while pregnant--all the way up until labor--and their babies were perfectly fine, but not everyone is this fortunate. I have a cousin who's mom smoked with him the whole time she was pregnant and has behavioral issues. He would beat his head on the wall when he was young and do all sorts of crazy things. He is about 12 now, and you can tell something isn't right. Her best bet for her baby would be to stop, unless she doesn't want the baby anyways. She shouldn't be worrying about how she is going to get the pot out of her system because she can't stop smoking. She should have enough decency to stop, period. Especially after finding this out. Encourage her to stop. She only has two months left!! That is not that long!!

Niacin is in some prenatal vitamins, so that helps...Also, to those who are saying things about her smoking pot, there's literally no evidence that it actually causes harm to a child in utero. Also, no, it doesn't cause ADD or ADHD, that's genetics. Now, it can have some effects as far as asthma go, but that's anything that is inhaled, not just pot. In all honesty, pot can be helpful to some pregnant women, especially those suffering from severe morning sickness as it relieves the symptoms and allows the woman to eat. Hell, in my state, in the CPS charter it clearly states that the only reason moms get in trouble for smoking while they're pregnant is because it's federally illegal. You do realize that at least half of the kids born in the 60s were pot babies and there's nothing wrong with most of them, right? Pull your heads out of your asses and stop belittling the woman on her past choices and commend her for the choice she's making now. Honestly, which is more important?

I am not condoning the smoking of pot by any means. My first suggestion to the pregnant woman is to stop while she is pregnant. But, if that isn't possible the vitamin niacin will clean the system out and not have an adverse effect on the fetus. The only thing I have heard about adverse effects is that it will cause the person to flush, which feels like a severe hot flash. I know a woman that was pregnant and took one tablet a day throughout her pregnancy and the baby is 2 now and very healthy.

Marijuana does not affect the baby. I have taken psychology and have done a report on weed. I have smoked weed myself during my 2nd pregnancy. Weed does not harm the baby, my 2nd child is calm and mellow and he is very smart to be 18 months. my 1st born is more on the crazy side, she is a march baby though but anyway. Weed does not harm you or the baby. For you people that keeps saying she needs to be tested and doesnt need to smoke and shouldnt have her baby. you all are wrong for that and the doctors are wrong for reporting it to the cops! smoking weed does not make you a bad parent! cigars, ciggaretts, gasoline, crack, meth, coffee all of those things are harmful to you and a baby, artificial, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, GMO (genetically modified food) and many more are bad for you and a baby! so please before you bash her or her friend do your research, stop listening to the media, dont believe everything you hear!
to get rid of weed while pregnant without sending herself into labor or feeding the baby anything bad, she needs to drink water and cranberry juice all day every day and pee as much as she can, peeing gets rid of thc in your body. the cranberry juice will make her poop though so just tell her to watch out for that, dont want an early pregnancy. just google some things and see what you can find on the web, these idiot people on yahoo have no life and just want to talk down on someone. they probably smoke cigs which also polutes the air! but whatever, hope everything goes well for your friend!

there is nothing that you can take to help rid your system of THC anyway. regardless if you are pregnant. in most cases, all the THC in your body will be gone within a month. THC stores in your fat cells, so no amount of excessive water drinking or system cleansing is going to help. just tell her to stop now, and she should be fine. however, i feel bad even giving her advice because she doesn't even deserve a child.

well, she shouldn't be smoking pot while pregnant!
that baby should be the most important thing in her life .. NOT her pot!
and taking anything to clean out the pot from her system could just harm the child further!
if that baby comes out with complications from smoking the pot .. then she won't have to worry about them finding out throug a drug test .. they will be able to find out by looking at that baby.
she needs to stop NOW!

The doctors arent going to take the baby from her for just smoking pot- but for ideas, have her drink as much red tea as possible it is a natural antioxidant, which means it is a natural cleanser. If she takes any of the other junk, she may do more harm to the baby than the smoking did. They can't test the baby for THC and do a Tox Screen unless their is any danger- THC has been proven not to be harmful to the womb, it doesn't cross the uterus path, the most it could do is give the baby asthma, and in some cases rare cases cause neonatal seizures that will eventually dissappear. If she's doing more than smoking pot, then yes they can do a tox screen, but when you pee at the doctors in the cup, they arent' testing you for THC or any other tox screen's, they can't legally do it with out consent. They are checking your babies sugar levels and others that need to be tested during pregnancy to make sure for a safe delivery. If the doctor's have made any comments about that they should be reported.

Why would someone take the chance of hurting their child by smoking ANYTHING while pregnant is beyond me. Drink a lot of water and eat right and STOP smoking is probably the best (and only) way. I personally wouldn't ingest anything else that could be potentially toxic to my child if I were in those shoes.
