The Irish love to give the English a hard time. The Irish had a field day beating the English and the English get blamed for everything over the British and as an Irishman I don't understand why. Yes I know my history, very well in fact, I majored in it, but don't get the nastiness towards just the English, when in fact Britain , USA, Spain, Ireland and France all played a part in our history.

Other examples of this are when Reading and then Middlesborough played Manchester United almost everybody in England who was not a Man Utd supporter was desperate for Reading and then Middlesborough to put Man Utd out. It was much the same when England beat the Aussies in last cricket ashes series in England. Similarly because England won the World Cup in rugby union, clearly the Irish far more enjoy humiliating England than they would enjoy humiliating Wales or Scotland, who have never performed so well at world level..
