it depends how yoru qualitative data was collected, if it was through interviews, peoples opinions, you could turn it or whatever it is into quanitative data by counting the answers which are similar, for example if you were looking for opinions on whether people think..counselling helps people (example) and out of 10 people who gave you opinions 5 said they didn't think so and gave similar reasons you could say therefore 50% stated....it was not helpful for example. hope that helps..hard to tell as i dont know what your trying to do.

Converting qualitative data into quantitative is bogus. If the data isn't numerical, it isn't numerical.

So, what have you got (specifically) and what do you want to do (specifically)?

you cannot convert it, since qualitative is not numbers. what you can do is set up categories and than count.
