I am about 5 weeks pregnant now. I was really nauseous for a last couple of days, and now it seems to go away. Has anyone experience this where the morning sickness comes and goes throughout the first trimester?

Yes, maam, that does happen. I was sick on and off for a few months. Id feel fine one day and the next day i was too sick to get outta bed in the morning. It will pass-just part of being preggo.

I'm actually going through that right now. I was very sick the last couple of weeks. Over the weekend, I figured out what my body was hating. Dairy foods were making me miserable and I was drinking a lot of milk. Today I am fine because I am avoiding the dairy. So try to figure out if it's an eating pattern thing. Also, if you're having a sour stomach, sour food will combat that (such as pickles or sour candy). This is my second pregnancy and I was not sick in the first so this is new to me as well. Good luck! :)

The first trimester?? I had that through the entire pregnancy. It would come, and then go. I had morning sickness the first three months, and then it went away for the next two months, and then came back for the rest of the pregnancy. Everyone is different. Yours sounds very typical, though.

Honey, morning sickness is not morning sickness...IT IS ALL DAY SICKNESS! And yes, it comes and goes and most likely will continue to do so throughout pregnancy. At least it did for me. Lick salt when you feel nauseous. It sounds wierd but it is a great temporary fix. Put a little salt on you hand (like you do when you take a shot of tequila) and lick it when you feel sick. Works like a charm

I'm 12 weeks and its still happening to me like that. Some days are good and some days its not worth trying to get out of bed.

My doctor told me that around 15-16 weeks it goes away for most woman but will return within the third trimester.

What I find that works is: water, slow breaths, moving slowly when feel sick.

Oh yeah I only had morning sickness if I woke up feeling hungry by hungry I mean to the point my tummy was growling. Then it lasted the rest of the day and I might still have it the next day or I'd be fine. It's not anything to worry about. Just annoying.

i have read in books that doctors say its good to have morning sickness. Not that it feels good! Ugh. Its aweful , but somehow it is good for you and the baby. Couldnt tell ya why though. It will go away before you know it and your baby will be in your arms soon and you will forget all about the morning sickness and then say it was totally worth it! And of course it is!
