There are several draft selections in the first round that could play a nice role.
After losing Ahman Green, the first place to look would be Cal RB Marshawn Lynch, an excellent player in his own right.
After losing Mike Wahle and Ron Rivera a couple years back, the Pack could use help along the interior line to help Darryn Colledge, last year's second rounder out of Boise State. The best linemen at that point could be Levi Brown, an offensive tackle from Penn State, but he's a potential top 10 pick.
On defense, corner is a possibility; I would look at Leon Hall out of Michigan, CHris Houston from Arkansas, and even Darrelle Revis from Pittsburgh.
If Amobi Okoye, a DT from Louisville, or Patrick Willis, an excellent ILB from Ole Miss are available, they may take either one.

Well they are going to need to address runningback situation. In some extreme circumstances,(with RB's signings of the Browns and Texans), Adrian Peterson could drop down to the 16th spot, this isn't very likely and would be a phenomanon like Aaron Rodgers dropping down a few years ago. However with those signings, it should add to your delight if you are a packer fan. They are almost insured they will get a top runningback this draft. The only team ahead of them with a direct need is Buffalo at pick number 12. So we will atleast see a chance to pick Marshell Lynch.
Horrible Scenario: NY Giants trade up to the 15th pick to grab Lynch or Peterson in front of the packers. Every team behind the Packers know they can wait until pick 15 to get a runningback if they are willing to trade up. Not good for us. In this case, the Packers would ideally draft the best player available in these positions: WR, CB, safety.

The packers have one major hole they need filled, and thats at RB,for this they should probably take the magnificent Marshawn Lynch, hes no reggie bush, but in my opinion he is better the adrian peterson because he is less injury prone,he can catch balls out of the backfield theirfor bringing the screen back to greenbay(which would help farve from being sacked so many times)he can be a downhill runner kind of like Corey Dillon, which would open up speed rusher vernand morency so he could get some yards.but if somehow Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch get drafted, then we need Ted Ginn Jr.,he would be a great addition because he has proven he can catch,he would be an instant upgrade on special teams,so either marshawn lynch or ted ginn jr.
GO GREEN BAY!!!!!

At this point i would like to see the following go down
I would like to see the packers trade up to get adrien pederson in the first round ( trade being possibly pack 1st round +bubba franks Aaron rodgers or Robert Fergeson.) if they cannot trade up then i would be perfectly content with Marshawn Lynch. with his hands the pack can bring back the ever so deadly shuffle pass the Brett has perfected.
then use the two 2nd round picks the pack have for a solid TE ( olgen if he can last till the second round or the guy from Minnesota) use the other 2nd round pick for Anthoney Gonzalas(sp?) use the third round to pick up a saftey or run stopper. and then finally use the rest to pick up another WR in hopes of him being another Coston or Donald Driver type reciever where he is good coming out of the late rounds.
But i would also look into useing a 3rd rounder to pick up a corner and safteys to upgrade the improving Defense. Although June would be a hell of a FA pick up to Complete a linebacker trio of June, Hawk and Barnett.
GO PACK!!!!!!!

The Detroit Lions... they're the only team GB has a prayer of beating. The most promising move they could make is to just quit football because they suck so badly. With the exception of a several-year Brett Fav-ray anomaly, they are one of the losingest teams since the merger of the AFL and NFL. Maybe if Fav-ray, the NFL's career interceptions leader, would have the common sense to retire, there would be some hope for them, but since he's too stubborn and/or too stupid to retire, Aaron Rodgers' talent will keep wasting away and the poop Packers will continue to feed from the bottom.

I think they are going to go with Jarred from USC. They need a good WR and though Jarred needs to be more physical, I think they can work that into him.

adrian peterson, if they can land him. his skill out of the backfield would take a lot of pressure off of Favre/Rodgers at QB
