Okay if you want to totally conquer your acne you have to conquer it not only externally, but internally. I have your same problem and you cant fix it only by using a product! I have tried acne free, even the expensive severe stuff, and all it does is dry me out and make me worse. So try changing your diet if you want to be truly acne free! Meaning, you need to drink 6-10 cups of water a day, and dont eat any sugar!! Sugar feeds the bacteria in your zits and makes them grow, just like it does with cancer..And eat lots of fruits and veggies. Dont eat oily foods, like fried stuff, and fast food. Really if you basically cut out all the sugar from your diet it really helps. Because sugar feeds the bacteria in your zits! And getting the right amount of vitamins and minerals is good too, vitamin C and Vitamen E supplements is what i take besides my normal vitamins. Exercise is actually good for acne too, its hard to explain, but the sweat helps push out blackheads and it just will make you feel great!! And be sure to wash your face twice a day with a good cleanser, and exfliate twice or so a week.I even put homemade face masks on! And no stress!! people should be looking at your true self and not just your face. keep a smile on and dont give up!! i had acne and used these techniques and it really helped! But acne is a hormonal thing so dont worry, everybody has or will have it at some point in their life. Good luck! These will really help you if you try them!!

If the acne is as bad as you describe it, see a dermatologist if you are a candidate for Accutane. Accutane is highly effective acne medication that is made of vitamin A- and the only one that actually can cure acne, not just mask it (like most topical meds.) There are lots of cons to using Accutane such as dry skin (not just on face), dry eyes, possible hairloss, pinkeye infection and severe birth defects of you happened to get pregnant. However, I used it about 5 yrs ago and it really worked. My skin was completely clear for about 2 yrs afterwards, since then I do get occasional pimple here and there.

I have the same problem, so I totally understand! I'm currently trying the Acne Free system. It's sold at Wal-Mart for $19.00 and it's working great so far!! It's clearing up my skin really fast - I've only been using it for 3 days. So far I've had no problems with dryness either. Good luck with finding something. If you run out of choices, visit your dermotologist.

Use a cleanser on your face at night to ensure your face is clean. If it irritates your skin try something else.
Don't pick at your face, this makes acne worse.
Cut out pop and other foods with lots of additives. Drink plenty of water(most important).

i have bad skin too. u have to try to find products that will not IRRITATE ur skin. trust me, even expensive ones are no good.. i bought Murad for $60 at sephora, and it did a NUMBER on my face... it literally hurt and was too dry, etc etc.
anyways, i got cetaphil and it helps clear my skin... at least in terms of balancing the moisture level and dryness. it is not harsh at all. and i bought an Aveeno lotion with oatmeal and i'm using it on my face..both are quite gentle. and i am exfoliating every once in awhile w/ a Baking soda and cetaphil mix.... u can also try uncoated aspirin and honey or cetaphil mixture. just take like 5 aspirins, drop some water on top, and they will get soft. add in honey or cetaphil, mix, and rub gently on ur face to exfoliate.. do this maybe 2 times a month?? it feels good....
good luck!

Me Too! try M'Lis Facial Wash, I get mine off the Internet. It's mild and at the same time has slightly drying tendencies to cut down the oils. My Esthetician recommended it and I really notice a difference.
