Suppose I go to a hospital to see a patient who is terminally ill and is known to go to die in few days. I feel very upset in such situations. Can you tell me what type of conversation would be appropriate? Is there any other way in which I can help her/him?

Just be normal. You don't have to behave different. that would make the patient uneasy, as he would be constantly hearing the ticking. Just make him feel comfortable. let him enjoy the world as normally as he used to enjoy everyday.

bring beautiful flowers.
keep smiling.
wear pleasant cloths.
avoid talk about the people who have died of the same illness.
talk only about good memories and people.
give assurance that you will take care of everything in patent's absence if the subject is opened by the patient.

just by consoling he wouuld not forget that he is going to die but if you try to give some fun and moments of joy, he may start living a bettet today and not woring about tomorrow.

u can tell him about Jesus Christ...those who believe in him will have life everlasting.
------Jesus can heal you of any disease,there are millions of cases of recovery of terminally ill patients...Jesus lives ....this is not religion or converting ..but the whole truth and the real hope.
