Some of the best vertical leaps in the world have been recorded by olympic lifters. Possibly incorporate some of their moves into your workout program. I wouldnt do the whole complex movement without training, but mens health broke it down into 4 mini-routines.
They are called.
1. High pull
2. Front squat
3. Snatch-grip jump shrug
4. Push press
Look those up and incorporate those into your training.

Start with just walking but springing off the ball of the fot with each step. Then do the calf stretches, progressively. then then take some (relatively light to start with) weight, and do some squats. Work up to any heavier work, and DO NOT RUSH the steps or YOU WILL pay for it in very short order and bad results last longer than good ones. Take it from an older man who has to live with results of overdoing things..

First, I would like to say good luck. Your going to need it. Well, hopefully you are not done growing yet. If you are, the muscle groups involved in jumping high are; calves, thighs, abs, and lower back. The swing of your shoulders can help a little. I'm 6' and played college ball but could not dunk. Some of my shorter peers, who weren't as strong as me but who had great abs and calves could. I would advise you to start there, with the abs and calves. Crunches are great for abs, and toe raises are great for calves.
