Im a college student now...
They look for someone who is determined and focused in their life. They also want someone who can contribute great change to the university wether its from writing a piece on the paper, to keeping your good grades through out or just graduating the university.
College is about finding out what you want to do in life...but also having fun while your at it.

The answer to this question is quite simple. The universities always look for the following things after seeing normal academic results it is the extra curriculum activity, hobby , extra achievements, sports, art, character and personality.

That you did something besides go to school. Worked at a job, volunteered, played sports - something.
Good SAT scores help too.

community service is an straightforward one as there are distinct places you may volunteer at. you may first make some calls to Senior centers, Hospitals, faculties. Letters of advice out of your instructors is continually sturdy.
