Finely crushed flake food is fine as a first food. They would also enjoy frozen or live baby brine shrimp.

I have fancy guppies who have had many babies. My adults are on a diet of blood worms, ground flake food, and brine shrimp(also ground up). I get the blood worms frozen so you just have to thaw the little "cubes" in the microwave. You can also get the freeze dried kind. If you don't like grinding up the food with your fingers, you can mix it all together in a ziplock bag and smash it...then you have enough to last you several feedings. I find that it also works fine for the fish fry (babies). Make sure you put the babies in a seperate tank or give them somewhere to hide because the "parents" will eat them if given the chance! Good luck :)

the female in this pair is of an numerous form. in spite of the indisputable fact that, you may surely differentiate the male from the female. The male guppy is smaller in length, has brighter colour with an more advantageous tail fin, and a pointed anal fin. the female is greater effective in length with duller colour, has a rounded anal fin, and a being pregnant patch on the decrease component of the physique. ideally, the aquarium could desire to have a overlaying of floating ferns and a breeding container to guard the fry. Adults could consume the fry if left to fend for themselves devoid of the breeding container. The fry could desire to be fed brine shrimp, micro food and pulverized flakes.

i work with fish everyday. if you have a petsmart nearby, they have something called fry food(thats what baby fish are called). the babies wil eat this and love it until they get big enough to eat tropical flake food.....not goldfish food.
