everyone deserves anything if he got it because he worked hard for it....why not 4 t-mac??? the rockets is one of the best teams in the nba today and sooner or later (if yao and t-mac won't be sidelined again bcoz of injury) they will be in the finals because of their team's main weapon, defense. rockets is working hard to defend......defense wins championship....
(rockets is currently # 1 the nba in terms of opponents FG percentage)

It's about time for the ROCKETS to get a ring, not necessarily McGrady. However, I think he's paid his dues. A decade in the league is a long enough, especially for a superstar. It's funny how some non-superstars get rings early in their careers while superstars, such as McGrady and Kevin Garnett, haven't gotten theirs yet.
The one person I would love to never get a ring is Mark Cuban.

no athlete "deserves" a championship ring -- i don't care how long they've been in the league. saying someone "deserves" a ring makes it sound like some sort of entitlement that someone would get for just showing up a certain number of years or games.
T-Mac, and every other professional athlete, has to "earn" his ring by making his teammates better and peaking at the right time of the year - during the playoffs.
