i'm 17 n still studying in high school.when i was a kid,i wanted to become a doctor but when i grew up,i realized that there are many other interesting jobs but my parents seriously want me to take medical course.i'm worried coz most people said that life as a doctor is so busy you hardly get enough time to spend with your family.as i'm a very carefree person i'm afraid i'll regret later.so can anyone tell me about life as a doctor(e.g.work schedule)?especially paediatrician(preferably someone with experience).recently,i did a career test n the result showed that i'm more interested in food industry area, therefore my counsellor suggested me to take food science course.can anyone who have experience taking this course or working in related area tell me what it is all about??i'm really confused right now.1 thing that i know,i really enjoy cooking n baking n one day i hope to own a restaurant or bakery, which i know my parents will never approve

You need to do what you find the most rewarding. Maybe you can do something like being a nutritionist, that will provide you with a stable career path.

i def think that you need to do what will make you happiest, i have worked in a hospital and doctors are really busy espically if you work for the hospital. if you were to have your own office then your work schedule would be slower. i currently work for a doctor and he gets in the office at around 10 or 11 and then leaves at like 3 or 4 at the lastest (some days he does have surgery after his office work) and of course you will be on call 24 hours a day if one of your patients gets admitted into the hospital.
