smell memory?

have you even smelled something in the past that when you smell it again it gives you the memory of the past
If so what is your smell story?

yes. sometimes when im outside a smell will remind me of old places I live. Such as when i was younger in florida. and certain smells remind me of Kentucky.

When ever I smell roses or rose scents or perfume I think of my great grandmother. She died when I was 6. A wonderful those 6 years they were with her in my life!

i was at the bus the other day and an old man sat beside me.he smell the deodorant that my father had....i was nearly burst into tears(my father past away 1 1/2 yeas ago..)

as soon as i smell licorice (sp)
i instantly think of the time i decieded to eat an entire
bag (one of those ginormus ones you use at halloween time)
of black twizzlers and i was sick for 2 hours


edit
also the smell of old grandad whiskey and cheap cigars remind me of my uncle frank.

it is a vertin cologne that reminds me of my uncle. And that is a bad flash back that I would rather not smell again.
