There is music that works for providing that rare sparkle.
When the Lord blessed the world, HE said for the children,
the families, the sinners to raise up their hearts and dance.
The good news is that Olympics carries on with the solid
gold clubs around the world, their 20 new dances every year is hailed as the latest. I like the Dancola for your project. Though kids may have heard of chipupeas, oxxom,
hadogyoda, or the inchy. Ask and be sharing hearts in learning. Very fun idea!!

Not sure of the age but....
It is very easy to play and choreograph from old musicals. The music is always fun and most people - even young teenagers - can say - "Hey, I remember that!" If you are a big fan of dance, than theatre should be part of your world also. (It keeps you well rounded, helps you create and keep in character, and allows you to express your mood and emotions to the audience.) Maybe something from Oklahoma, Grease, Godspell, etc.
Also, old TV shows and theme songs/sound tracks are great! Funny stuff might be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Gremlins, Saturday Night Fever. You could come up with some great costumes!
Music for silly songs in general would be along the lines of Dr. Demento or Weird Al - be careful! Smiles!
