Is there a return deposit on cans in your state? If so, check the state's website on recycling to find a collection site near you. Here's an example from Maine:
http://www.maine.gov/spo/recycle/
Otherwise, type "Recycling" with the name of your own community into Google, and see what comes up.

take them to Ralphs, usually behind the store there is a recycling center that gives pretty good chunk of change for your cans. They also take glass bottles.
