i have three, rather large, cuts on my wrist...it looks like chunks of skin were cut out but only because they're so deep. i know there will definately be scarring, but i want it to heal faster..and how do i make it less noticeable? what can i use to cover it up? the cuts are about two inches long so wearing a watch is kind of pointless...

I know that burn units deal with a lot of scarring. What patients do for the scarring, is to take vitamin E inside (swallow the capsule) and put Vitamin E oil right on the scars. This has worked for me for a miriad of scars that I have managed to get in my life. The scars just seem to heal so much faster when this is done. I realize that there are many products out in stores such as Walgreen's that promise to minimize scarring. I have tried a few of those, as well. Still, I have found that for my body, the Vitamin E works wonders.
Vitamin E capsules are what people with scarring around the heart take to keep scarring down, as well. It is not expensive to buy, as long as you just buy a generic brand of the vitamin.
I think you would like the results.

Use Neosporin. It is an anti-bacterial that will help the cuts heal faster because there is less chance for infection. You should have a medical professional look at them first.

If the cuts are so deep, are they sutured ? If not, how is the skin staying intact? The skin has to be well aproximated in order to heal quicker. Also, you can take some Vitamin C, it's great for healing processes.

apply sugar to the cuts, it is an old wives tale that really works! Just take the sugar that you use in your coffee and apply to the cuts. It doesn't burn ot hurt an it really works. It has been used to heal bed sores in the past.

neosporin for sure. If that doesn't help, although i'm sure it will...they have some stuff out now to help with scaring. If they don't heal after a few weeks, I'd consider talking to your doctor.
