Roosters, as with all diurnal (day) avian (bird) species, have an internal clock which is set to the rising and setting of the sun.

We humans only know what time it is because we are able to count and therefore divide the day into 24 pretty random units called "hours". The birds and beasts of our planet can't do this, so it's a really human trait to think that the Roosters crow an hour "earlier" during North American daylight saving.

Don't forget that there's a whole lot more countries out there that don't share the same time zone as you - like where I am right now (South Korea) and don't have daylight saving at the same time as you! It only seems to be the developed western countries which have a system like daylight savings as well...

There is a name for the internal clock, too. It's called the "circadian" rhythym...so the full scientific / zoological description for what you're asking is this:

The Rooster, or the male of the species "Gallus gallus domesticus", is a diurnal avian with a circadian rhythym....

The government chose to make daylight savings time come earlier and i don't think that the government told the roosters to crow earlier. Also, roosters crow at the crack of dawn. lol.

Roosters don't watch an alarm clock sorry and they wont necessarily crow at day break they crow whenever they wake up. most of the time that is becasue the sun comes up. however we'll have the dogs bark at something at three in the morning and they'll start crowing if it wakes them up

Roosters crow at the break of dawn, no matter what time that happens to be. They don't have a watch, nor can they tell time. It's purely instinct on their part.
