use the slope formula

y2-y1/x2-x1

[2 - (-9)]/ [ -3 - 4] = -11/7

and that's your slope.

now take slope intercept form:

y = mx + b

and plug in what you know

2 = (-11/7)(-3) + b
2 = 33/7 + b
14/7 = 33/7 + b
-19/7 = b

and now you've got your equation

y = -11/7 -19/7

y= mx + b

You'll need to first figure out (b) the Y intercept- where the graph line intercepts the Y axis.

Then you'll need to figure the slope (m) of the two sets of points.

Then you can just plug the numbers in above.
